SCENERY PAINTING FOR THE AMATEUR MUSICAL THEATRE and PANTOMIME

A BALLROOM Page two
Designed, and painted by Brian Willis.

And here is the Ballroom cloth's first outing, to the Tir-Na-Nog Primary School, Ballyclare, for their production of Cinderella in March 2012.

The event was held in the local Parish Hall, so there were some staging problems, noteably not having facilities to hang the cloths properly. However the beauty of this material is that it can be hung and draped like curtains. So both cloths (I am only showing you one here) were on straining wires and pulled back and forth like curtains as required. Any creases were acceptable doing it this way.

BEHIND THE SCENES.

And here are three of the "Lady Courtiers"

From Left (Ella Groocock, Holly McMahon and Wendy Phan), being made up by Noleen, one of the Hullabaloo production team.

Finally I just have to show the whole school, (yes that's all of them) in their final song.
Just look at those sumptious costumes supplied by Hullabaloo.

That's the end of the Ballroom pages.
