DETAILS AND FEES WHEN A PENCIL or PEN & INK DRAWING IS SUPPLIED BY ME VISITING THE SITE
COSTS These will break down into three sections.
  • My fee
    For a figure please e-mail me, or phone, for discussion about your particular request
  • My expenses- These will vary hugely depending on the location of the property. Expenses could include:- travel; overnight stays; meals; etc.
    Locally, I would not anticipate an overnight stay would be required within, say, a 40 mile radius of Bushmills, Northern Ireland.
  • I normally need two visits to the site.
  • Other expenses would be minimal, a few phone calls, and the post and packaging of the final artwork.
  • Your cost incurred to matt/mount and frame the art work
    It will work better for both of us if the framing is done at your end.
 
I CAN MISS THINGS OUT Yes don't forget that when sketching I can miss out that ugly antenna, or next door's yard-barn/shed. And of course the neighbouring property can be either missed out completely or blended into the back ground. These things we can discuss when I visit the site
 
WEATHER Your drawing doesn't have to be in glorious sunshine. How about a snow storm, or backed by big dark thunder clouds? The choice is yours. Again we can chat about this when I visit.

YOUR ADDRESS Obviously I will need your home or business address and also your home or business phone number (which ever is more convenient)
 
WHAT WILL YOU GET FOR YOUR MONEY?
I will supply a pencil or pen & ink drawing approximately 11.5 x 8 inches (29 x 21cm) This size is negotiable
 It will be on 300 gm white card.
There will be a clear margin of at least 0.5cm around the edge for framing.
If it is a pencil sketch, it will be protected with a transparent fixative but I also suggest you get it framed quite quickly to save it getting damaged.
If it is Pen & ink then it will not be waterproof so I suggest you get it framed quite quickly to save it getting damaged
The card will be covered with tissue paper and packed & posted in a hard backed envelope.
 
COPYRIGHT You will own the copyright of all the artwork I supply and it will be yours to use (and reproduce) as you wish.
 
REPRODUCTION If you have plans to reprint my drawing (perhaps for a greetings card or the logo for headed notepaper) then please let me know before I start work. If the artwork is to be greatly reduced in the printing, then any detail I have included will be lost. Fine lines, especially those close together in pen & ink work, are also inclined to clog and smudge when reduced in printing.
 
DATED? I will sign the work but would you also like it dated?
